I'm sorry that you have to get this and I'm already calming down which is good
but I have a negative comment about your product
I bought my freidrich qstar ac probably three or four year5s ago - so I'm
not expecting anything-but I want to tell you how I feel

the first year I had the ac I ran it maybe twenty times, I'm not rich and I
don't put on the ac much to save money
I noticed that the on off switch was temperamental during the summer- you had
to move it to a certain spot for it to work but when it worked it was great
I figured that I would get it fixed- even thought it really wasn't bad, if
it was like that now I would be happy as hell-
I forgot about it long before I took it out of the window and the following
summer it still worked great though you had to jiggle the switch every once
and a while but I was ok.  Ii should have called and had it fixed but I
really don't like to make trouble for people - I mean it still worked- you
just had to jiggle it .Last year it it started to shut itself off all by
itself-- at first a little jiggle would put it right back on.

then it got worse

I got it on and taped the switch in place  - bought a surge protector with a
switch- and plugged it in
this way I could use the switch on the surge protector
as stupid as this sounds it worked fine

I felt ok about it

its important to know that when we bought it I was with my wife and sister
and her husband
the salesman recommended a Panasonic that was over a hundred dollars less
and had the same BTU output
well, I don't care much for Japanese products or imports in general and
against the salesman and my wife's objections I paid something like 440.00
with tax as opposed to the 280 plus tax that my stupid brother in law paid
who was also there

I was proud to buy American and would do it in a flash all over again-
especially if that stupid weasel of a brother in law is there

are you starting to understand
I'm just a regular guy with regular bad luck so its not like I never had bad
luck before
but that weasel has watched as I had to jiggle the switch the first year,
the tape it with the surge protector on off switch setup. now it totally
died - its just the switch
I can jiggle it and get the green light to flash for a second and it will
pop on- but as soon as I move my finger it dies,
that idiot it coming over tonight - its my birthday- and I cant wait to hear
the anti American products bullshit that is going to start right in as soon
as he asks why the ac isn't on and then I struggle with it as he has seen
many times before
this time I don't think its going back on
I hope I get drunk enough to hit that prick by then because I'm hot and just
not in the party mood

anyway like I said I'm sorry you have to read this because I know its not
your fault
I just wish it had lasted more than eighty uses before something broke
I wish nobody knew what I paid for it
I'm going to the party now
I'm ready
